Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival in Casablanca, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2Casablanca → Rabat (UNESCO) → Chefchaouen

Travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas , with its beautiful white and blue buildings with a fantastic view over the Atlantic beach and Bouragrag River. Continue north to the scenic blue town of Chefchaouen nestled in the Rif Mountains Sit on the terrace of a cafe and take in the view of the grand mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 3Chefchaouen → Volubilis (UNESCO) → Meknes (UNESCO) → Fes

After breakfast, journey to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO-listed archaeological site with impressive mosaics. Continue to Meknes, an imperial city recognized by UNESCO, to visit Bab Mansour and the royal granaries. Proceed to Fes. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4Fes (UNESCO) Guided Cultural Tour

The whole day is dedicated to visit the city of Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco founded in the eighth century by Moulay Idriss II.

This guided tour will start by visiting the old Medina ,a UNESCO world Heritage site, and exploring the Medina’s narrow streets lined with local shops and stalls. The exploration of the old Medina’s cultural and historical sightseeing include Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and Al-Qarawiyyine university – the oldest continually operating university in the world.

After lunch in a local restaurant, you will experience the panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes before taking a brief visit to the new part “Fez Al-Jadid”. Then Check in at a hotel or riad in the evening.

Day 5Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, leave the historic atmosphere of Fes and journey south into the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop is Ifrane, a charming alpine-style town often called “Little Switzerland” for its clean streets and European architecture. Continue into the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may encounter playful Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.Continue via Midelt toward the Sahara.

By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, mount camels for a peaceful trek into the desert, timed perfectly for sunset. Watch the dunes glow in changing colors before reaching your desert camp. Enjoy traditional Moroccan dinner, music under the stars, and an unforgettable night in the Sahara.

Day 6Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

Wake early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise — a highlight of the journey. After breakfast and a return camel ride (or 4×4 transfer), travel to

the dramatic Todra Gorges, where sheer canyon walls rise over 300 meters, creating a spectacular natural corridor. Take time to walk along the riverbed and admire the geological formations popular with climbers and photographers.

Later, travel through palm-filled oases and Berber villages to reach the scenic Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Arrive at your hotel overlooking rugged rock formations and lush valleys. Dinner and overnight in Dades.

Day 7Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, continue along winding mountain roads through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant damask roses and locally made beauty products (seasonal bloom in spring). Pass traditional kasbahs and oasis landscapes on your way to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s cinematic gateway to the desert.

Visit the legendary Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified ksar built from earthen clay architecture. Wander its narrow alleys and climb to the hilltop granary for sweeping views  , you may recognize filming locations from famous movies and series.

Day 8Ait Benhaddou → Tizi n’Tichka Pass → Marrakech

After breakfast Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic viewpoints and artisan stops along the way. Arrive in vibrant Marrakech by evening check in your riad and head to Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls create an unforgettable atmosphere. Enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine or couscous while soaking in the lively culture.

Day 9Marrakech UNESCO Medina Guided Exploration

Meet your local guide to explore Marrakech’s UNESCO-listed Medina , a sensory feast of history, color, and culture. Visit architectural landmarks including Bahia Palace, showcasing intricate craftsmanship, and the Saadian Tombs with their ornate decoration.

Walk through lively souks where artisans craft leather, textiles, metalwork, and spices. Pause near the Koutoubia Mosque gardens for photos and insight into Marrakech’s history.

Day 10Marrakech → Essaouira Coastal UNESCO City

Depart for the Atlantic coast, traveling through argan tree country where goats sometimes climb branches  a unique sight. Arrive in Essaouira, a relaxed seaside city with strong Portuguese and Moroccan heritage.

Explore the UNESCO-listed medina, Skala ramparts, fishing harbor, and artisan wood workshops. Enjoy fresh seafood and ocean breezes as you stroll along fortified walls overlooking crashing waves. Overnight in Essaouira.

Day 11Essaouira → Coastal Drive → El Jadida UNESCO Portuguese City

Travel north along Morocco’s Atlantic coastline toward El Jadida. This historic port city reflects Portuguese colonial architecture and maritime history.

Visit the famous underground Portuguese cistern . an atmospheric chamber with dramatic reflections  and walk the fortified ramparts offering ocean views. Overnight in El Jadida or Casablanca depending on accommodations.

Day 12Casablanca Cultural & Leisure Day

Return to Casablanca, Morocco’s modern economic hub blending tradition and contemporary life. Enjoy free time for shopping, café visits, or optional sightseeing.

You may revisit the Hassan II Mosque interior (if not done earlier) or explore the Corniche waterfront. Celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner opportunity. Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 13Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Casablanca airport according to your flight schedule. Your UNESCO heritage adventure concludes with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s landscapes, culture, and history.
