Itinerary

Day 1 Fes → Middle Atlas → Merzouga Desert (Camel Trek & Luxury Camp)

Begin your 4 days morocco desert trip in Fes, heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane (“Morocco’s Switzerland”) for photos of its European-style architecture, then explore the Cedar Forest of Azrou to spot playful Barbary macaques .

Traverse the dramatic Ziz Valley, a lush oasis flanked by cliffs, before arriving in Merzouga in The evening check into your accomodation. hotel is free to relax at your hotel or try sandboarding on the dunes . Dinner & Overnight stay in a traditional hotel

Day 2Merzouga Exploration (Nomads, Gnawa Music & 4×4 Adventure)

Wake early for a magical sunrise atop the dunes, then return to Merzouga for breakfast. Dive deeper into Sahara culture with a 4×4 excursion: meet nomadic Berber families in their tents, sip mint tea, and learn about their resilient lifestyle .

Visit Khamlia Village for a soulful Gnawa music performance, a legacy of Morocco’s African roots. Explore M’Fis mines for fossils or the seasonal Flamingo Lake (if water levels permit).

when you come back from the adventures above get ready and embark on a sunset camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by a night under the stars at a desert camp with Berber drumming and gourmet dining .

Day 3Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (Kasbahs & Canyons)

In the middle of the desert wake up early in the morning ( must do ) in order to enjoy the most wonderfull sunrise you have ever seen in top of desert dune . And then breakfast on your camp and you will enjoy camel trek back to your car in marzouga .

Leave the desert for Rissani, where you’ll browse its vibrant weekly market (if visiting on Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) for spices, handicrafts, and the famous Berber pizza . Continue to Todra Gorge, a paradise for climbers with its sheer red cliffs carved by the river.

After lunch, wind through the Dades Valley, nicknamed “Valley of 1,000 Kasbahs,” and marvel at the surreal “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Spend overnight in a cozy riad or hotel with panoramic valley views

Day 4 Dades Valley → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech (UNESCO & Hollywood)

Journey through the fragrant Rose Valley (blooming in May) and stop in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “Hollywood,” to see Atlas Studios . The highlight is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar featured in Game of Thrones and Gladiator.

Explore its ancient clay architecture before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), with photo stops at Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech by evening, enriched by Sahara sunrises, nomadic encounters, and Atlas Mountain vistas
